• Radiator
  Hot coolant from the engine passing through the radiator channels is cooled by the car’s mechanical or electric cooling fan. The exposed position of the radiator in the front of the car means that it can be damaged even in a minor collision. Always pay attention to any coolant leaks and fix this immediately.
  
  
• Expansion tanks
  When the coolant gets hot, it expands and must go somewhere, therefore the car has an expansion tank to deal with the volume changes.
  
  
• Water pumps
  Your car has a water pump to circulate the hot water to the radiator and cooled water back to the engine. The water pump must be replaced according to the car manufacturer’s determined intervals.
  
  
• Thermostats
  The operating temperature of the engine is regulated by a thermostat that opens and closes the flow of water from the engine to the radiator.
  
  
• Radiator hoses and heating hoses
  Radiator hoses are used to connect the radiator, water pump, engine, and passenger compartment heating elements. When adding an electric engine heater, vehicle heating hoses are used. Inspection of hoses is included in the annual service. If dry cracks, damage or leaks are detected, the hose must be replaced as soon as possible.
