How to apply wood protection
It is important that wood protection is applied to a completely clean wood surface. So, always start by cleaning the surface and removing any oil, paint, and algae. You may need to sand away stubborn dirt or old paint residue.
- Once you’ve cleaned the surface, it’s time to apply the wood protection.
- Apply two coats with a brush or roller – wait at least 2 hours between coats.
- After applying the second coat, you should wait for at least 4 hours before walking on the surface.
When the surface is finished, it will look uneven and blotchy at first, but after 1-3 months of exposure to the elements, the surface will become smooth and silvery. If you want to achieve a smooth and silvery surface faster, we recommend brushing the wood surface with water.
Please note that the wood protection must not be used indoors or in an enclosed area.
