Biltema Foundation donates 1 million SEK to Save the Children
For the children in Yemen, the war means recurring airstrikes, fear, hunger and thirst. The situation has now been further exacerbated due to the spread of the coronavirus, and the country lacks the infrastructure needed to provide healthcare, food and clean water. Biltema Foundation has therefore donated 1 million SEK to Save the Children to support their work in Yemen, which allows many children access to medical care, food, psychosocial support and education.
“We want to do everything we can for children's right to survive, develop and grow up in safe environments. It is therefore incredibly important for us to support an organization that focuses on helping children in vulnerable situations. Save the Children is a well-established children's rights organization that has proven that their efforts make a difference. The crisis in Yemen is an emergency situation for an entire generation of children, and with Biltema Foundation we want to contribute to create a better future for them ", says Louise Wennberg, chairman of Biltema Foundation.
