Buy batteries that correspond to consumption
It’s worth noting that the price of the batteries is not the only factor that you should consider. Just because a particular pack pf batteries has a lower price, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the most affordable. To get the most bang for your buck, you should choose a battery that corresponds to the use. This is more important than just staring blindly at the price tag in the hunt for cheap batteries.
Because when it comes to AA batteries and other batteries, the price and performance differ. For example, lithium batteries often have better performance but cost more. They are therefore better suited for battery-powered devices that consume a lot of power. Examples of such products are digital cameras and radio-controlled cars.
Alkaline batteries, on the other hand, are ideal for devices that are not as energy-intensive. They are therefore typically used in remote controls, toys, and other products with lower energy consumption. These batteries come in both disposable and rechargeable versions.
Remember...
Used batteries must be disposed of in battery recycling boxes or in specified containers at your recycling centre. Batteries must never be discarded with household waste!
Before recycling your batteries, we advise you to check which local rules and guidelines must be followed for recycling.
Frequently asked questions about batteries
How does a battery work?
A battery stores chemical energy and converts it into electrical energy. The chemical reactions that take place in the battery create a flow of electrons that produce an electric current.
How long does a battery last?
Battery life depends on the capacity of the battery and on the consumption of the device. A standard AA battery is sufficient for about fifty hours of low consumption in, for example, a radio.
